The Spanking House

‘The Spanking House’ is a 67-minute movie made by Moonglow North (or possibly Cavern Spanking) in the late nineties and released by Moonglow (catalogue number N17) in 2004.  The description of this movie in the Moonglow catalogue reads:

“This gem was discovered when we started converting our video library to DVD. For fans of Alison, from Oop north, it is a great purchase. Made in the late nineties, the young Alison is working in a Spanking House when an American arrives.

He produces a paddle which she cannot cope with. She up sticks and leaves the house in a temper. The American is furious and makes the wretched receptionist complete the one to one with him.

When Alison returns later, the receptionist is still fuming and threatens to sack Alison. However, she relents when Alison agrees to give the American a free 1 to 1, in which he will try out every instrument in the house on her shapely bottom, as well as indulge in a long bondage session.

Your chance to see a young Alison really put through her paces.”

‘The Spanking House’ features Dominque Wright (aka Amanda), who also appeared in ‘Severity School’ (CAV21) for Cavern and ‘CP Therapy’ (DVD W03) for Moonglow, as the proprietor of a BDSM House and Alison Payne as a professional submissive working in the House.  I don’t recognize the man playing the client, Jonathan. 

The movie opens with the proprietor of a spanking house taking a booking from a caller.  An American named Jonathan, who met Alison at a party, wants a session with her before he leaves.  Alison has plans for the evening but she finally decides to take the booking.  Jonathan arrives and he is led into a nondescript bedroom where a few implements have already been laid out.  Alison enters dressed in a school uniform.  He starts by demanding to know why she kept him waiting.  He quickly takes her across his knee and he starts with a light hand spanking but he does stretch it out.  He continues with a small wooden paddle, delivered a little harder but also at length.  Afterward he has her stand in the corner while he delivers a very wooden lecture about her neglecting her studies.  This ends with him telling her to remove her skirt and bend over the chair.  He selects a hairbrush for the next phase of her punishment and he administers it firmly while Alison squirms in response.  It is a lengthy hairbrush spanking that leaves her bottom a bright red.  He examines several implements for the next stage of her punishment and finally decides on a riding crop.  He has her lean on the bed, facing the camera, and delivers one very hard stroke which provokes a strong reaction and Alison storms out of the room.

There is some shouting outside the room before the Proprietor enters to find out what has happened.   She offers to schedule another appointment for him but he demands that she finish the session.   Despite her insistence that she ‘doesn’t do this anymore’, he pulls her over his knee and starts to give her a spanking.  Eventually, he moves on to the wooden paddle and then the tawse.  Finally, he announces that his reason for making the appointment was to cane a schoolgirl but the proprietor will take her place.  He tells her to remove her skirt and then all this set up for the cane, he continues with the tawse instead.  The second session with the tawse in almost indistinguishable from the first.  Even the dialogue is the same, including the lines about caning a schoolgirl at the end.  I wonder if this was actually an editing error.  The tawse segments run about 5 minutes each and I think the movie would have benefitted from cutting one of them.  Eventually, they do get to the cane and he gives her 30 firm strokes delivered at a leisurely pace but the pace and the wooden dialogue make the scene drag.

The scene changes just before the 40-minute mark of the movie and we are told it is a week later.  Alison answers the phone and it is Jonathon calling to set up another appointment.  He arrives for the appointment with a selection of implements including a large carpet beater.  The setting is different than anything we saw in the first part of the movie (and Dominque is no where in sight) so I suspect that this second part of the movie was filmed at a different time and in a different place.  This punishment starts with the usual over the knee hand spanking; this one lasts nearly 5 minutes.  Next is a studded leather paddle, used in two different positions, and that is followed by the riding crop that drove Alison out of the room during their first meeting.  That is followed by a short session with the carpet beater which is an implement that never particularly interested me.  The session continues with Alison face down on a bed.  This begins with another hand spanking, then comes a wooden spoon, then a flogger, a wooden paddle, the riding crop, and finally the studded leather paddle.  I think this could be a situation where less would be more.  He leaves her tied to the bed at the end of the session.  

This movie has a lot going for it, particularly Alison and Dominque who are well worth seeing, but the Dom is its weak point.  He can certainly deliver a punishment but I found the Dom as dull as dishwater.  Except for his arm, he is almost motionless and usually silent during the spanking scenes.  When he does speak, every line is delivered in monotone and at a slow pace.  It is also clear that he isn’t an experienced actor since he keeps looking at the camera.  These problems are aggravated by some poor camera work and sloppy editing.

I believe the story in the Moonglow catalogue about this being a movie that was found ‘on the shelf’.  I suspect it was probably a rough cut that was set aside while the editor tried to figure out what to do next.  Unfortunately, it looks like they never did finish the final cuts before they released the movie on DVD.  I think that cutting one of the two duplicated tawse sequences with Dominque and tightening up several of the other sequences would take 10 minutes off the run time and make this a much better movie.

Severity School

‘Severity School’ is a 53-minute long movie made by Cavern Spanking.  None of my usual sources for dates give any information about this movie but, based on its position in the Cavern catalogue, I believe that it was probably made about 1994.  I don’t know how it was originally released in the UK but it was eventually available through the Cavern Spanking website that operated from 2004 to 2016.  To the best of my knowledge, ‘Severity School’ never appeared on any of the Moonglow North compilation tapes that were released in the late 1990’s.  There was a Moonglow West movie of the same name (Moonglow catalogue number W25) but it is a completely different movie made by John Kirwood just weeks before his death.  Also, I can’t find any evidence that this movie was ever released in the US although it is certainly possible that it was released under a different name.  My copy of the movie came from the Cavern Spanking website many years ago and, to the best of my knowledge, it is no longer available.

‘Severity School’ features Alison Payne and Ivor Gold, who appeared together in ‘Class of ‘94’ which was made at about the same time, together with Gillian Taylor, Dominque Wright and a number of men who form the audience.  Based on the lack of cuts (several segments of the movie are filmed in one long take), the ad libbed dialogue, the lack of nudity and the banter between actors and spectators, this movie seems like a filmed spanking party.  However, there may simply have been an in-studio audience who paid to watch, and in some cases participate in the filming which was a common practice among spanking film makers at one time (and I occasionally still hear of it happening).

The girls are in front of the Headmaster for a variety of offenses.  He starts with the dark-haired girl, Gillian, who has been selling erotic photos of herself to make some extra money.  He orders Amanda (the blonde) to give Gillian a spanking, which she does, but he soon takes over and continues her hand spanking.  Eventually he calls one of the spectators to take over and his spanking elicits some profanity which draws a animated reaction from those present.  Her spanking is finished by another man from the audience whose face is never seen.  She makes some remark that can’t be heard but it must have been good since it gets a reaction from those present.  Her punishment continues with several implements used by members of the audience, then she must walk around the room to allow the unseen spectators to examine the results.  She announces that a taxi is waiting to take her to another modelling job but the Headmaster gives her a few hard slaps with a tawse before she is allowed to leave the set to a round of applause at about the 20-minute mark of the movie.

The movie continues after a rather abrupt cut with Lisa (Alison Payne) preparing for the cane.  Her bottom is already red so her punishment must have begun during the break.  The man who first spanked Gillian, who may be an actor since his face is seen on camera, begins her caning 12 strokes.  Three other unseen men take over from him each delivering a dozen strokes in turn although a couple of them are obviously not used to handling a cane and their strokes are a little wild.  This short sequence lasts only 7 minutes.

Now it’s Amanda’s turn.  Her punishment starts with her bent over a desk for a hand spanking delivered by the Headmaster and members of the audience.  It continues with a succession of other implements including a large leather strap anda tawse (or two) wielded by members of the audience and a final few smacks of a wooden paddle delivered by the Headmaster while she stands facing the audience.  This long session, slightly over half of the movie, ends with Amanda over the same spanking horse used early for a lengthy caning by the same audience members who had caned Lisa.  The movie ends with the audience inspecting he bottoms of the two remaining students.

Technically, the movie is a mess.  The dialogue is sometimes difficult to hear and there is often background noise that sounds like a hospital PA system.  The camera positions are often poor and the framing cuts off heads (perhaps deliberately).  I’m not a fan of filmed spanking parties so this movie isn’t one of my favorites.  I would have much preferred to see these three girls in a properly filmed movie rather than a filmed party.
