Resolved by Corporal Punishment #17 - Mallory

 

“Resolved by Corporal Punishment #17 - Mallory” is a 36-and-a-half-minute movie released by Raven Hill Studios in 2006.  It is part of a series of 26 videos produced by Raven Hill in the early to mid-2000s.  The company stopped producing new material around 2011 and the Raven Hill website went off-line sometime last year but all of the “Resolved by Corporal Punishment” videos are currently available from www.prestostore.com (at $49.95 each) and most, but not all, are available on CalStar Direct websites like www.hotmovies.com (at around $20.50 each).

Raven Hill Studios was an American spanking movie producer that began operations in 1994.  I started searching the web for movies a couple of years later and Raven Hill was one of the fist companies I discovered.  The first two ‘County Sheriff’s Bad Girl Spanking’ movies caught my attention (the third wasn’t produced until later) and I started thinking about placing an order but then I started to see postings on chat boards complaining about Raven Hill’s customer service.  I held off ordering for a while but I finally took the plunge and learned about their bad service for myself.  Then, when I finally did see the movies, I found that they weren’t very good.  Not long after that, Raven Hill started selling two movies called ‘Czech Brutal 1&2’ which turned out to be pirated copies of two Rigid East movies.  I lost all interest in the company after that. 

Raven Hill was best known for a series of ‘real life’ spanking movies that included 6 Beach Girl Spanking movies and 4 Spanking Down the Highway movies.  In these movies one of the Raven Hill honchos, usually Terence M. Smith (who uses the name Tierre Ainese on screen), would approach a woman who was sunbathing or hitchhiking and offer to pay her to take a series of spankings.  There had always been doubts that these approaches were actually spontaneous, unplanned events and that claim fell apart when one of the hitchhikers in a Spanking Down the Road movie was recognized as a porn movie actress.  I had stopped paying attention to Raven Hill before they started making the ‘Resolved by Corporal Punishment’ movies and I didn’t see any of them until last year; nearly 20 years after the first one was made.

According to the on-screen introduction, the ‘Resolved by Corporal Punishment’ movies feature a woman who is being sued in small claims court and Raven Hill has agreed to pay off the judgement if she agrees to be filmed receiving three rounds of corporal punishment; a hand spanking followed a session with a strap or paddle and a final session with a cane or similar implement.  The movies have the form of a reality TV show with a ‘judge’ and a host.   Originally Richard Lewis played the Judge and Tierre Ainese was the host but Lewis disappeared from the later movies and Ainese became the Judge.  Most of the movie is set in an office at ‘Raven Hill Manor’ which is presumably a home in St. Petersburg, Florida where Raven Hill was based.  I think the 17th installment with Mallory is the best of those I have seen to date and several other reviewers agree with me on that choice.

Mallory rented a steam cleaner to clean her carpets but rather using the proper cleaning solution she used dish soap and it damaged the steam cleaner.  Now she is being sued for damages and she has agreed to appear in Resolved by Corporal Punishment so Raven Hill will pay for the damages.  The movie opens with Tierre Ainese introducing the case, this takes about 4 minutes.  Cut to Mallory meeting ‘Judge’ Lewis.  He interviews about the accident with the steam cleaner and her previous experience being spanked and then he describes the punishmenst she is going to receive.  These will start with a 5-minte hand spanking which will be followed by a 5-minute paddling.  The state of Florida allows paddling in schools but she says that she has never been paddled which is certainly possible since some school districts don’t allow it.  Finally, she will receive 30 strokes with a pear tree switch that has been provided by a viewer.  This interview lasts until the 12-minute mark of the movie.

The hand spanking is first and it is quite ordinary.  It lasts 5 minutes and there is an on-screen timer.  There is also a Raven Hill bug on the screen which is often ‘in the way’.  It’s a good spanking and her bottom turns a bright red.  Several cameras are used and an advantage of the reality show format is that it doesn’t matter if a camera of light occasionally appears on screen.  There is a ’commercial break’ and when they return Mallory is back in the office and talking with Lewis about the spanking.  When they finish talking, he has her bend over for her paddling.  It appears that Lewis is using a wooden paddle that is wider but not as long as a traditional school paddle.  He changes hands between swats so he can paddle her from both sides.  Again, there is a timer on the screen and, by my count, she receives 52 swats during her paddling which runs a little over the 5 minutes.  This is followed by another commercial break before the final punishment.

Lewis has a selection of switches laid out on his desk when Mallory returns and he has her pick out three. She picks thin switches which is a choice I suspect she comes to regret.  Lewis has her bend over a footstool and he lifts her skirt.  The switching is both hard and fast and it leaves bright red welts.  He breaks several switches in the course of the 30 strokes but the last 7 strokes are delivered in one flurry.  I surprised that she was able to get through it.  The movie ends with a short interview with Mallory and some very awkward final comments by Tierre Ainese.

 

This piece is far superior to any of the movies that Raven Hill produced in the nineties.  The technical work is solid, the punishments are good and Mallory is both an interesting and quite watchable subject.  If you follow this blog you will know that I love face shots and this movie does them well.  My only regret is that they didn’t have her completely undress for the final punishment but if that’s the worst complaint I have then there isn’t much wrong.

Afternoon Detention

 

“Afternoon Detention” is a 19-and-a-half-minute movie released by Roue in late 1982 or early 1983.  Its' release was announced in Roue 23 with a selection of black-and-white screen captures on pages 32 and 50.  Publication of Roue was disrupted during 1982 by a ownership dispute and Roue 23 was the first issue published by the new owners.   Roue 23 also included announcements of the release of Uncle George on page 33 and First Week of Term on pages 2 and 51.  “Afternoon Detention” is currently available on DVD through the Roue website at www.roue.com.  

Afternoon Detention has a cast of three, one man and two women.  The Headmaster is played by a familiar face; he also appeared in Half-Term Punishments which was directed by Roue editor Alan Bell during the Roue shutdown but I don't know if he directed this movie (I have my doubts).  I don’t recognize the women playing Cook and Simpson, the two students.  The setting is a rather sparse schoolroom but the girls wear red T-shirts that read ‘T.S. Nelson’ so it would appear that they are not at Roue’s usual setting of St. Angela’s School.

The movie opens with a cane hanging from the ledge of a lectern and the Headmaster pacing around the classroom while he waits for Cook and Simpson.  He picks up the cane and gives it a few test swings while he waits.  Eventually the two girls arrive.  He begins by asking Cook if she is wearing a bra and then has her lift her T-shirt to confirm that she isn’t.  He tells her to take her skirt off which she does reluctantly.  Then he has her bring a chair to the front of the room and he tells her to remove her knickers while he sits down.  Again, she is reluctant but eventually she complies.  He takes her over his knee and a hand spanking follows.  Cook struggles while she receives a hand spanking but the headmaster tells her ‘this is nothing … the cane comes next’.  Next, Simpson receives the same treatment.  The hand spankings end just before the 9-minute mark of the movie.

The Headmaster tells Cook to drag the caning stool to the front of the room.  She does as she is told and she is the first over the stool.   This is followed by a very bad edit where she jumps from waiting to be caned to crying.  A few more strokes of the cane follow as the Headmaster circles around her stopping to deliver a stroke on each pass but it seems like continuity has been lost and the scenes are being shown in random order.  Cook receives a lengthy caning that lasts until the end of the movie.  Simpson is never caned and the movie ends with the Headmaster taking her to his private study.  I can’t help but wonder if the woman playing Simpson backed out after watching the first caning.  If so, they found a creative way to deal with the problem.

This movie is a disappointment.  I think Cook’s caning could have made a very good movie but the movie suffers from poor direction and technical work.  The set is spartan but realistic however the lighting is inadequate.  Many scenes are marred but dark shadows.  Several camera shots are poorly framed and there seem to be several mistakes in editing.  A few of the scenes are filmed through the back of a chair which I think was a mistake.  Finally, the actor playing the Headmaster frequently passes close in front of the camera as he circles Cook during her caning and the screen goes dark as he passes.  Cook’s caning deserved better.
