‘The Hairdresser’ and ‘Clean Sweep’ are two movies
made by Cavern Spanking about 1995. ‘The
Hairdresser’ is 26-minutes long and ‘Clean Sweep’ is 40-minutes long. I don’t know how the movies were originally
released in the UK but they were eventually included on the Moonglow North
Compendium tapes N09 and N10. ‘The Hairdresser’,
retitled as ‘Spanked Hairdresser’ and another movie ‘Call Girl Caning’ were
released together in the US as part of CalStar’s English Discipline
Series. This CalStar release is currently
available on video on demand websites such as www.hotmovies.com. I haven't found any indication that 'Clean Sweep' was ever released by CalStar.
‘The Hairdresser’ (Cavern on-line catalogue number 23A) and ‘Clean
Sweep’ (Cavern on-line catalogue number 28A) are two movies with a very
confusing history. My first exposure to
the confusion came from a listing on the Bottommarks website (www.bottommarks.com) where the description
for the movie ‘C.P. Admin.’ (K10790) starts with “The first 26 minutes of this
video (The Hairdresser) is just a shorter version of the full 40 minute iShare
discipline video K-10397 entitled A Clean Sweep …”. Unfortunately, that’s not correct, the two
movies are set in the same location and they may have been filmed at the same
time but they are two different movies.
The confusion continues when CalStar (as they often did) renamed ‘The Hairdresser’
as ‘Spanked Hairdresser’. The two movies
were called ‘Spanked Hairdresser’ and ‘The Lazy Hairdresser’ when a number of
Cavern movies were repackaged into the Moonglow North Compendium tapes after 1997. ‘Clean Sweep’ was omitted from the Moonglow
North Compendiums when the VHS tapes were rearranged during their transfer to
DVD. This is all too confusing so I will
just use the original Cavern names for simplicity.
‘The Hairdresser’ is a 26-minute long movie made in
1995. It features Alison Payne in a role
where she is not spanked. I don’t know
of any other movie in her entire career where this happens. The movie opens with Sue (played by Alison)
at a hair salon. The stylist, Rita, is
played by a woman who also appears in the Cavern movie ‘Professional Misconduct’. There
is a lengthy opening scene with Alison and Rita in the salon and they are
briefly joined by the owner at about the 6-minute mark. Trouble ensues just after the 7-minute
mark. Rita has cut more than Alison
wanted and she is not happy. The owner hears
the ruckus and he returns to find out what is happening. Sue storms out and the owner is angry because
this isn’t Rita’s first mistake. He
decides that discipline is required so he takes her over his knee for a spanking
that can only be described as ‘light’.
Soon her skirt is up and not long after her panties come down. After the spanking he has her take her skirt
and panties off and kneel, first on a couch and then a salon chair, for a session with
2 straps and a riding crop. Finally, he
orders her to undress and lean on a counter in front of a mirror for about 20
strokes of the cane which are much harder than anything that had preceded them.
‘The Hairdresser’ has its moments, most of then during the
final caning, but it isn’t a great movie.
It drags in the first 10 minutes and the early punishments are unremarkable. There are also problems with the camera
position during the strapping, which results in the owner standing between the
camera and Rita, but they make much better use of the mirror in the final
scenes.
‘Clean Sweep’ is set in the same hair salon and features the
same owner, ‘Mr. Jones’, but a different stylist. The stylist is lounging on the couch when the
owner comes in and starts complaining about the mess. He gives her a slap on the bottom when she finally
stands and bends over to pick up a few items and then he pulls her over he knee
and begins spanking her (this movie doesn’t have a long opening scene like the
one in ‘The Hairdresser’). But, this
spanking, like the one in the previous movie, isn’t terribly effective so he
soon decides to call for help.
Mr. Jones puts in a call for help to Joe Stewart at the ‘C.P.
Administration Agency’ who agrees to bring the ‘specialist equipment’. He arrives at the appointed time, near the
6-minute mark of the movie, and brings in his equipment. He introduces himself to the stylist, arranges
his equipment and then takes her over his knee for a hand spanking that is much
harder than the one given by the owner. Her
pants come down and the hand spanking continues until he tells her to stand
facing the wall while he prepares for the next step. He gives her a change of clothes and sends
her off to change. There is an awkward
scene with a clock that says it takes her 15 minutes to change but eventually she
returns in a gray pinafore and she is soon back over his knee for more spanking. She starts giggling during the spanking so he
decides to move on to the strap and the diaper position. The strapping is firm but she continues to
make insolent comments throughout it and she finally starts giggling again so
he switches to a studded strap with her kneeling on the couch. One more insolent comment leads to a flurry of
hard strokes and soon her panties come down.
There is a brief interlude, during which time her pinafore comes off, then
he has her bend over the back of a chair and he moves on to a wooden spoon. A few strokes of the spoon produce a strong response from her, and some very pronounced marks on her bottom. Then it’s on to the cane for 5 firm strokes. This movie follows a different trajectory than most in that
the cane isn’t the end of the punishment.
The final 15 minutes are a mixture of straps, paddles and canes in a
variety of different positions. Her demeanor
changes noticeably through this final session and her insolent comments
largely, but don’t completely disappear.
The session ends with her standing on the couch and holding onto a coat
rack for a few final smacks with both the leather paddle and the cane.
I like ‘Clean Sweep’ much more than its prequel although it does start to drag a bit toward the end. Lorrayne, who I liked as the Secretary in 'Penalty Strokes 2' also plays
the stylist here and it is her insolence and her reactions that make the movie for me. There are a few technical problems, including
the camera operators’ hand in the frame at one point, but they aren’t too bad. My one regret is that the stylist is never
naked at any point in her punishment but it seems as though nudity is less
common in Cavern movies then it is in movies from some other producers.
