Minnie Champ

 

Mignon (aka Minnie or Ginny) Champ was the Penthouse ‘Pet of the Month’ in March 1994.  Prior to her Penthouse appearance she was a hard-core movie actress who made about 20 Swedish hardcore movies along with 5 British Spanking movies and 2 Fiona Cooper tapes. 

Several references I found say she was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1968.  I found one post on the Vintage Erotic Forum for Minnie Champ that says “she came to the UK in the late 80's aged 18 ... Strapped for cash, she started out as an amateur model in the photo studios, and did a little "extra" on the side. Within months she was modelling for the papers and then became a big hit with the magazines too.” That reference goes on to say that, as she became better known she “side-lined as a high-class escort on the sly” but I can’t personally confirm that any of these statements are true.

The British Girls Adult Film Directory lists 24 movies that she appeared in but this appears to include both individual movies and compilations.  There is only one spanking movie on that list and I believe that one is a mistake; the BGAFD lists the Spanking for Pleasure (SfP) movie ‘The Reformatory’ as one of her movies but she actually appeared in the SfP movie ‘The Reformation’.  ‘The Reformatory’ was an older movie from the short-lived VEXFILM series of movies made by SfP in its early days.  The Internet Adult Film Directory lists 8 titles including all of her spanking movies that I know.  The more mainstream Internet Movie Database (IMDB) lists four titles for her and one is a 1994 American movie ‘Electric Blue: The Sex Files #2’ that does not appear on the BGAFD.  A few of the movies that are listed on these websites have dates after 1994 but I think these are all DVD re-releases of earlier movies. 

As far as I know, she only made 5 spanking movies:

‘The Flesh and the Fantasies’ (Kane, 1990) where she is credited as Minnie Ford.  This movie was also released as ‘Schoolgirl Fantasies’ by Bizzare in the US.  It seems to have been her first spanking movie.  She also appeared a photostory based on ‘The Flesh and the Fantasies’ in issue no. 53 of Kane magazine.  She was a blonde in her early movies but it doesn’t look natural.  (First vidcap)

‘A Mutual Agreement’ (SfP, 1991) is her first of three movies with Christian Fennington (aka F. St. John North).  What little plot there is involves a landlord trying to collect the rent from a female tenant who can’t afford to pay.  Of course, they come to the expected alternative arrangement. ‘College Classics 4’ (SfP, 1991) is a standard headmaster student piece.  She appears in the second segment but there is nothing particularly notable about it.  (Third vidcap)

‘Paddling Classified’ (SfP).  I don't know how this movie was originally released in the UK but it was released in the US together with ‘Knickers Inspection’ by CalStar and then re-released in the UK as the second segment of ‘Tales of the Rod 3’.  She had returned to being a brunette by this time and she had breast implants sometime after this movie was made.  I have the ‘Tales of the Rod’ version of this movie, in which two women answer a classified ad placed by a man (Christian Fennington) looking for subs to spank, but I would love to find the original British release since I think some material has been cut.  Both the ‘Tales of the Rod’ version and the CalStar version on CalStar Direct are 19 minutes long but Minnie already has a red bottom when her first spanking begins. ‘The Reformation’ (SfP, 1993) is a movie that I remember well although I’ve never put it on one the lists of my favorites.  Christian Fennington plays a parish priest who sees an opportunity to have his way with a sinner.  The CalStar release gives the date of production as February 1993.  It was after her breast augmentation and I believe that it was her last spanking movie.

She largely disappeared from public view following her Penthouse appearances.  The same reference I quoted earlier also reports that “Sadly her 'work' took it's toll and she ended up with a drugs problem. She returned to her home country in the late 90's to recover and quit the modelling scene altogether. As far as I know she is now back in London, married and has nothing more to do with the adult business ....”.  Again, I can’t personally confirm that this is true.

Liz Leather

 

Liz Leather (sometimes Elizabeth or Lizzie) was the stage name of a British fetish movie actress and model who was active between about 1981 and 1995.  She has a very brief mention in the British Girls Adult Film Directory as 'Liz (2)' at http://www.bgafd.co.uk/actresses/details.php/id/l00073 and she is listed in the Internet Movies Database (IMDb) at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0495314/.

I posted a review of the Imprint Productions’ movies ‘Naughty Nieces’ and ‘Naughty Nieces 2’ (vidcap above) in April 2019 and I later received a comment asking if I could identify one of the actresses.  I was very slow in responding to the comment (my apologies to the commenter) since I lost track of it.  I was eventually able to identify one of the actresses but I don’t think it was the one in his question.  The question was about the younger actress, who I believe is the dark-haired actress, but I wasn’t able to find much information about her except for one reference that suggested that her name was ‘Susie’.  I checked the BGAFD and none of the ‘Susies’ that were listed looked anything like the girl in Naughty Nieces.

However, I was able to identify the blonde, even though no one asked about her. She is Liz Leather, a British fetish actress and model who was active between about 1981 and 1995.  Based on the information that I could find she was born in 1957 and several references connect her to Manchester in the north of England.  She was noted for having a deformed finger and she often wore gloves in her photo shoots.

George Harrison-Marks directed the Naughty Nieces movies and Ms Leather would go on to appear in 4 Kane Internal movies as well as the filmed version of 3 Kane parties.  She is almost unrecognizable in an outrageous black wig in ‘Country Cousins’ (which I will review someday);  the photostory for that movie appeared in issue 40 of Kane magazine.  She also appeared in ‘When the Cats Away’ (KI 8, photostory in issue 38), ‘Three Cases to Answer For’ (KI 55, photostory might be in issue 52 which I don’t have) and ‘Rawhide in Rotherhithe ..’ (KI 59, photostory in issue 63).  I’ve never seen ‘When the Cat's Away’ or ‘Three Cases to Answer For’ so please leave a comment if you know where I could find either of these.

I found a reference that said she appeared in one of the Fiona Cooper videos but I don’t know which one.  She also made several hardcore movies (5 are listed on the Internet Movie Database) and her modelling work included a variety of other fetishes beside spanking as well as a lot of soft-core ‘glamor’ work in magazines like Parade.  She often worked with a photographer known as John Leather and I doubt the similarity in their working names is a coincidence.  She was extremely popular in her day but it appears that the 1995 Kane party film ‘Hot Cross Bum Live!’ (below) was filmed very near the end of her career.  I couldn’t find any evidence that she was active after 1995. 

CP Administration 1 & 2

"CP Administration’ is a 19-minute movie made by Cavern Spanking in 1994.  I don’t know how it was originally released in the UK but it was released in the US by CalStar under the name ‘Agency’ together with the SfP movie ‘Farmyard Flagellation’ (called ‘Down of the Farm’ by CalStar).  It was never available through the Cavern Spanking on-line store but it was the first segment of Moonglow North Compendium Three (Moonglow DVD Catalogue no. N03) released in 1997.  ‘Down on the Farm’ & ‘Agency’ are available from CalStar Direct video-on-demand sites such as www.hotmovies.com.  ‘CP Administration 2’ is a 31-minute movie made by Cavern Spanking in 1995.  I have no idea how it was originally released in either the UK or US.  It was never available through the Cavern Spanking on-line store and I haven’t found a CalStar version.  It was the second segment of Moonglow North Compendium Seven (according to the on-line Moonglow tape descriptions but not the DVD Catalogue).  I obtained Moonglow North Compendium Three with ‘CP Administration 2’ from www.bottomsmarts.com.

Both movies feature Cavern Spanking regular Joe Stewart.  I don’t know the name of the woman in the first movie but the woman in the second movie is identified as ‘Janine’ in the Moonglow Girls Directory, she also appeared in the Cavern movies ‘Beating at Cards’ and ‘Cadet Adventures’.

I am not absolutely certain that ‘CP Administration’ is the correct title of these movies.  I had originally thought it was ‘CP Administrator’.  CalStar changed the name of the first movie, as they often do, to ‘Agency’ but then they misspelled it on the title card by adding a ‘t’ (Agentcy).  I don’t have the Moonglow version of the first movie but the title card on the Moonglow version of the second reads ‘C.P. Admin. (Part 2)’.  However, the Moonglow on-line tape descriptions use the titles ‘CP Administration’ and ‘CP Administration 2’ so I’ll go with those.

‘CP Administration’ opens with a husband siting on the couch when his inebriated wife returns home from a night out with her friends.  After a brief argument he tells her to kneel on the couch for a bare bottom hand spanking which she seems to enjoy.  He eventually gives up and decides to call an ad he has seen in the paper using a very old cell phone.  He reaches the CP Administration Agency and the proprietor (Joe Stewart) answers.  He explains his problem and the CP administrator agrees to help.  The proprietor arrives and the husband goes to bed while he punishes the wife with a hand spanking.  Once again, she seems to enjoy it so he tells her to take off her dress before he moves on to the slipper, strap and riding crop.  The description in the Moonglow DVD Catalogue ends with “Finally, she is sent off to put on her school uniform for a final caning” but my version ends abruptly with her being sent off to change so I think the ending has been cut (and I bought this version from a CalStar Direct web site).

‘CP Administration 2’ begins with Joe Stewart sitting in his office when the phone rings.  Mr. Preston is calling for help but Joe is busy so he arranges to send his associate, Mr. Kelly who is played by someone I’ve never seen before.  He arrives at the appointed time to find Mrs. Preston (played by Janine) waiting for him.  It’s a ‘spending spree’ situation and, as usual, her punishment begins with an OTK spanking.  Whoever is playing Mr. Kelly doesn’t seem to be very experienced and Janine gives him blocking advice on occasion.  The OTK spanking is followed by her standing against the wall with her panties down, but nothing happens there and after an awkward cut he tells her to pull up her panties and take off her skirt.  I can’t help but think that something went wrong and a scene was cut out of the film.  He has her lie over something on the floor and uses a flogger on her bottom. She takes 24 good strokes and acts well as she always does, but the camera position is terrible and the editing isn’t much better, so her work is largely wasted.

He sends her off to change into something else and she returns wearing a ‘little black dress’ which suits her well but we never really get a chance to see it.  He has her stand against the wall and later kneel on the floor while he continues with a selection of leather straps.  I have liked Janine in other movies and she’s good here; I just wish the camera work was better so I could really see what’s happening.  Finally, he sends her to change for her caning.  She returns, after another bad cut, in a shear body suit and kneels on the chair for 12 strokes in two sets of 6.

I’ve read that there were several filmmakers working under the Cavern Spanking banner and I can believe that; there are obvious differences in style and quality among the Cavern movies.  Several are notable for very poor camera work and the two CP Administration movies are among that group.  These are low budget efforts even by spanking movie standards, the pacing is slow, the dialogue is banal and both feature one actor who were poor choices.  It's the wife in the first and Mr. Kelly in the second; he can handle a strap and a cane well but he can’t do much else.  Overall, these two movies are disappointments.
