Private Lessons

 

“Private Lessons” is a 22-minute movie released by Roue in 1984.  It’s release is announced on page 60 of Roue 34 but I don’t have a copy.  British spanking magazines of the eighties didn’t put dates on their issues but I think Roue 34 was probably published around October 1984.  “Private Lessons” is currently available on DVD through the Roue website at www.roue.com.  “Private Lessons” was one of the British spanking movies of the eighties that was made in association with Imprint Productions (see my filmography for Imprint).  It was released in the US by CalStar and it is also available through CalStar Direct on-line sites like www.hotmovies.com.

The last few weeks have been really busy and I’ve been ignoring this poor blog.  I had two posts that were partly written and I will finish both off and get them up this week.  There is one more of the Roue ‘classics’ that I want to review after that and then I intend to move on Red Stripe.  On another subject, I suspect the links on my WhippingFilms.com movies may be dead.  My subscription to K2S has expired and I can’t renew it, and I wouldn’t at the present time even if I could.  K2S is a Russian company so credit card payments to them are blocked.

The movie features two characters, Amanda and her unnamed tutor.  It opens with Amanda sitting on the floor of the living room doing her homework.  Her tutor lectures her about her lack of commitment to her studies but Amanda complains that it is boring.  Her tutor says that ‘perhaps she can liven it up’ and asks to see her notes.  The work is not good enough so the Tutor gives Amanda a slap on the thigh.  Amanda says that she can’t be bothered doing the work so her Tutor tells her to stand up and demands to see what she has done.  A few more quick slaps follow but eventually Amanda refuses to do anything more.  The tutor tells her to lift her skirt and a series of slaps on her thighs follow.  Amanda pushes her tutor away and she falls on the couch.  Of course, this calls for more vigorous punishment.  The tutor takes Amanda over her knee and begins to give her a hand spanking.  Soon her panties come down but the hand spanking continues.  After about 2 minutes the Tutor pushes Amanda onto the floor and she leaves to get her hair brush.

The tutor returns with her hair brush at about the 6:45 mark of the movie.  She has Amanda kneel on the couch and the punishment begins but it lasts barely 45 seconds before Amanda is pulled off the couch and told to get her clothes off.   She takes off her skirt and blouse and the tutor has her run on the spot.  Soon her undershirt comes off as well.  Other exercises follow but the sequence ends after about three minutes and the tutor leaves again.

She returns at the 11:30 mark with a cane and a poetry book and she tells Amanda that they are going to have a poetry test.   The Tutor has Amanda read a poem and then she asks her to repeat it from memory.  Amanda fails the first time so the Tutor has her read it again and then asks her to repeat one more time.   This time she can remember the first line but not the rest so the Tutor tells her to take her skirt off and pulls down her panties before telling her to read it again.  This time Amanda can remember two lines but not the rest so the Tutor tells her to put her hands on her head then she gives Amanda two light strokes of the cane.  Another attempt and another failure provoke a few more light strokes.  Eventually the strokes become a little harder  Amanda finally reaches her limit and she hits her tutor with the poetry book.  The Tutor drags Amanda into another room, which looks like the first room with the furniture rearranged, where she puts Amanda on her hands and knees on a couch.  There is a continuity gaff at this point since Amanda’s panties are back up.  After pulling her panties down again the Tutor gives Amanda about a dozen firm strokes of the cane (neither Amanda or the Tutor can keep track) amidst a lot of fidgeting and poor camera work.  The movie concludes with the end of the caning.

There isn’t much to this movie and it is hardly worth watching.  The story is weak and the acting is poor even by spanking movie standards.  The direction and cinematography also leave a lot to be desired, the editing is sometimes poor and the lighting is occasionally dark.  Many of the Roue movies made by Alan Bell are classics but the quality of Roue’s movies declined after Bell left and Private Lessons is a good example of just how far they fell.
