“Is This Dust I See?” and “Sir Roderick’s
Commandments” are a pair of closely related Red Stripe movies that were released
in 1996. “Is This Dust I See?”, RS-117 in the Red Stripe catalogue, is 48 minutes long while “Sir Roderick’s Commandments, RS-119 in the catalogue, is 60
minutes long. “Is This Dust I See?” was released in the US
by OHHTEEKAY but I can’t find any evidence that “Sir Roderick’s Commandments"
was ever released by them. Both movies are currently
available as Red Stripe Originals at www.roue.com. “Is This Dust I See”
is also available from CALSTAR Direct websites like www.hotmovies.com.
“Is This
Dust I See?” and “Sir Roderick’s Commandments” both feature a cast of one man
and two women who play the same characters in both movies, Sir Roderick Cayningham-Brown
and his maids Daisy and Edith. Both movies are set in Cayningham Castle
in 1932. It appears that they were made
at the same time but I can’t confirm that.
I don’t recognize any of the performers and the only identification I
have been able to find is a notation on the Spanking Art Wiki that Edith is
played by ‘Isabella’. (UPDATE Jan 2023: A reader pointed out that Isabella appears as the domme in many of the Fiona Cooper videos. The British Girls Adult Film Directory lists 34 Fiona Cooper videos in her credits but it does not list these two movies. I have a couple of Fiona Cooper movies in my collection and it does look like the same woman.)
Is This
Dust I See?
This movie
opens with Sir Roderick sitting in his study.
His blonde maid Daisy enters wearing a French maid’s uniform, with a
very short skirt, and begins to do the dusting.
Sir Roderick watches her as she bends over to do some of her work.
Eventually Sir Roderick stands up so he can
examine the results of her efforts and he finds that her work is not to his
satisfaction.
Of course, this is a
problem that must be dealt with.
He has
her place a chair in front of his desk.
He sits down on the chair, takes her over his knee and proceeds to give
her a hard hand spanking.
She complains that
he is hurting her so he has her stand while he tells her how he expects her to
take her spanking and then he has her pull down her panties and return to her
place over his knee.
Her spanking continues
until eventually the other maid, Edith, enters the room.
Edith doesn’t seem the slightest bit
surprised by what she sees and she begins cleaning another part of the
room.
Daisy’s
spanking ends and she puts the chair back in its place.
Then Sir Roderick explains the castle rules to
her.
He tells her that she can expect to
be strapped or caned for breaking the rules and he pulls out the implements
from behind a curtain to show them to her.
Afterward he tells her to return to her work.
Very soon she breaks a vase which, of course,
calls for further punishment.
He tells
her to return to his office at 10 o’clock that evening to receive her
punishment.
He tells her that Edith will
also be receiving punishment at that time for some other offense and he tells her to ask Edith about what
to expect.
This segment ends just after
the 16-minute mark of the movie.
The two
maids talk briefly about the punishment they will receive and this is followed
by a short scene of Sir Roderick siting in his study fantasizing about the upcoming
evening’s activities.
Finally, 10 o’clock
arrives and the two maids knock on the study door while Sir Roderick is practicing
with the cane.
He calls the two women in
and drones on about the rules of the castle for a little too long.
He gives Daisy the Ten Commandments of the
castle to memorize and tells her to return the following Wednesday to prove
that she has learned them (this is the tie in to the next movie).
Finally,
he moves on to her punishment.
He tells
them that they will both receive twelve strokes with the strap followed by a caning
of a duration that he will determine later.
Edith’s
punishment begins a little after the 22-minute mark of the movie. She starts by removing her panties and bends
over the desk. She receives the 12
strokes and Sir Roderick finds a reason to add one more. Daisy is next and she receives her twelve
along with extra strokes for various infractions of the rules to bring the
total to twenty. In addition to being
longer, Daisy’s strapping is also noticeably harder than Edith’s. The
strappings end just before the 32-minute mark of the movie.
Next comes
the cane.
Edith moves the chair in front
of the desk and then bends over it.
Sir Roderick
starts by giving her four, very hard, strokes of the strap for some
previous infraction and then continues with 12 strokes of the cane.
The caning is quite hard but sometimes a
little wild; he strikes her upper thighs on at least two occasions.
Sir Roderick has Edith move the chair back to
its normal position then he has her demonstrate how to kneel on an arm chair
and bend over the back for Daisy.
While she
is in that position Sir Roderick gives her another 2 strokes of the cane, for
no apparent reason.
Daisy takes her place over the back of the
chair and Sir Roderick administers her dozen strokes plus he finds reasons to
add an extra four.
Daisy’s caning is
also quite hard, particularly for the last three strokes, but at least he is on
target for all 16 strokes.
Finally,
Sir Roderick gives Daisy his ten commandments to learn and he sends the two maids
off with a reminder to return the following Wednesday. The movie ends after 48 minutes.
Sir Roderick’s
Commandments
Same
characters, same setting, the week after the events of the previous movie.
The movie opens, before the title card, with
a repeat of the scene from the previous movie where Sir Roderick tells Daisy to
learn his ten commandments and makes Edith responsible for ensuring that she
does.
After the title card Sir Roderick
meets Edith in the hallway and asks about Edith’s progress.
Edith tells him that Daisy is learning the
commandments and the positions but she doesn’t sound confident.
Sir Roderick reminds her that there are only
two days left and what will happen if she hasn’t learned.
Fade out and then Edith is asking Daisy if
she has learned the commandments.
She
says that she has so Edith tests her knowledge.
Of course, she fails miserably so Edith decides that she needs some encouragement,
in the form of a hand spanking every time she is unable to answer a question.
Finally, Edith leaves Daisy to study the
commandments and she storms off.
The next
segment opens with Sir Roderick in his study.
The Butler enters (his only appearance in either movie) and
tells Sir Roderick that Edith and Daisy are waiting outside.
He tells the Butler to send them in.
Edith and Daisy enter and Sir Roderick begins
to tests Daisy’s knowledge of his commandments.
We all know that she is going to fail and, of course, she does.
The resulting punishments
begin with Edith and eight swats with a hair brush.
Then the two women trade places and Daisy
receives six.
Both women receive more
swats of the hairbrush in several different positions and the constant moving
back and forth between the two women and that different positions makes it all
drag on much too long.
Sir Roderick
continues asking Daisy questions that she can never answer and on those rare occasions
when she can answer a question correctly, he finds some other fault.
Next, Sir Roderick asks Daisy to recite all
ten commandments and she can’t so he reads them to her, in a slow monotone, and has her repeat them.
He gives her another week to learn the
commandments and he tells her to return the following Wednesday to prove that
she has.
But, before they leave, he
decides to strap both of them.
Edith is
first.
She bends over the desk while
Daisy and Sir Roderick engage in some inane dialogue then she receives a total
of twenty-five strokes of the strap in four different positions. Blackout
and then on to Daisy’s punishment.
More
mucking about with positions, with Edith getting another 8 strokes of the strap
in the process, till finally Daisy finds the one he wants then she receives a
total of 18 with the strap.
Part way
through she gets fed up and calls him a pervert and this leads to a caning.
She receives a total of 30 strokes in five
different positions which drags the scene out to over 10 minutes.
Edith also tries to intervene at one point which
accomplishes nothing but does drag the scene out a little more but the movie
ends with Edith receiving 12 strokes of the cane for her impertinence.
Some of the
action is quite good but these movies are much too long. They are slow, repetitious and filled with too
much pointless dialogue, including endless questions about ‘what is the sixth
commandment’ or ‘what is position 3’, mostly delivered in a slow monotone by
Sir Roderick and broken up by long, unnecessary silences. I know I watched these movies when I first
acquired them many years ago but I never watched them again until I started to
write this review. This time I watched
the two back-to-back which I would describe as ‘painful’. There were several occasions that I was so
feed up that I thought about abandoning this review and movie on to something
else. Unless you are determined to see
all of the Red Stripe movies, I would suggest you save you time and skip these
two movies.
