Behind Closed Doors 1&3

 

“Behind Closed Doors 1 - Shoplifting” and “Behind Closed Doors 3 – Don’t Drive the Car” are a pair of closely related Red Stripe movies that were released in 1996 and 1997 respectively.  “Behind Closed Doors 1 - Shoplifting”, catalogue number RS-119 is 45 minutes long while “Behind Closed Doors 3 – Don’t Drive the Car”, catalogue number RS-132 is 64 minutes long.  “Behind Closed Doors 3” was released in the US by OHHTEEKAY but I haven’t been able to determine if they released Part 1 as well.  Part 1 is currently available as a ‘Red Stripe Original’ at www.roue.com but Part 3 isn’t available there.  Both parts are available from CALSTAR Direct websites like www.hotmovies.com.

I’ve mentioned both Parts 1 and 3 of Behind Closed Doors which probably raises the question ‘what about Part 2’?  The list of films on the Red Stripe Club website (www.redstripefilms.co.uk) has a footnote that reads “the film Behind Closed Doors 2, a Femme Domme movie, was produced under the Boys Behaving Badly Label”.  I have searched for both film and the label without any success so please level a comment if you can tell me anything more about Part 2 or Boys Behaving Badly.  One of the last Red Stripe movies, “Trust Me”, made just before Ivor Gold’s death in 2001, is a sequel to the Behind Closed Doors movies but I will treat it separately.

Part 1 features 2 characters, a married couple named Bill and Hillary.  Given that this movie was made around the time of the 1996 US election, you can probably imagine how those names were selected.  Bill is played by Red Stripe owner Ivor Gold, and Hillary played by Stephanie who also appears in two other Red Stripe movies (“Not in Front of Her” and “Trust Me”), the Cavern movies “Antique Methods” and “Punishment Loft “ and the Moonglow movie “CP Therapy”.  Part 3 adds an additional two characters, Hillary’s friend Tippy and Tippy’s niece Claire but I haven’t been able to identify the actresses who play either of these roles.

Part 1 – Shoplifting

Part 1 opens with an exterior shot of a house and a voice over by Hillary inviting the viewer to see what is happening inside.  Bill and Hillary enter in the middle of an argument.  It turns out that Hillary has been caught shoplifting and not for the first time.  Bill gave her a spanking the last time and he intends to do the same this time.  He calls the store owner and has Hillary explain what Bill is going to do.  She talks to the store owner and asks him to talk Bill out of spanking her but he refuses and Bill gives her a few quick smacks on the bottom for the store owner to hear.  Before he hangs up Bill tells the store owner that Hillary will visit him the next day to tell him about her spanking.

After the call, Hillary is over Bill’s knee and a hand spanking begins.  Hillary is concerned that the neighbours will hear what is happening and this conversation sets up Part 2 of the series which I have never seen.  The hand spanking lasts about 5 minutes, with frequent short interruptions for dialogue, then he has her take her skirt off and briefly stand in the corner before sending her to the get a hairbrush.  She returns and she is back over his knee for a 3-1/2 minute session with the hairbrush which is followed by another short period in the corner.

The second half of the movie opens with Bill getting out a large leather paddle.  He shows it to Hillary and she obviously knows what comes next.  She bends over the couch without being told and a severe paddling begins.  Her paddling lasts about 4 minutes and then its back to the corner.  The phone rings while Hilary is in the corner and Bill answers. It is Barbara, their next-door neighbour, who has heard what is happening.  She asks if she can come over to watch but Bill says no; her appearance might have been a nice addition to the movie. 

Bill brings out the cane after the call ends but before the canning starts he has Hillary call the store owner and tell him what is going to happen next.  She does and the call ends with about 10 minutes to go in the movie.  Bill has her bend over the arm of the sofa and her caning begins.  He gives her 12 firm strokes, delivered at a leisurely pace, and then he has her stand up.  He gives her about a minute to rest then its back over the arm of the sofa for another 2 strokes before he has her knell on the sofa for another eight.  The final 8 strokes, and the last stroke in particular, seem harder than the first 12.  The caning ends and its back to the corner.  The movie ends with Bill giving Hillary a hug and a glass of wine.

I like this movie despite its' flaws.  There are technical issues including some very poor camera work.  There is a lot of white in the set (walls, curtains & rug) and clothing and this combined with the camera setting and lighting produces a lot of glare.  The sound also varies in quality and the pacing is slow in spots.  I wish Barbara had been invited to watch the final caning and I would have liked Hillary to be nude for that caning but I like the movie despite all this.  The story, mood and acting make it work for me.

Part 3 – Don’t Drive the Car

Part 3 was obviously made at a later date since Stephanie’s hair is longer than it was in Part 1.  This movie opens with Hillary in a rather revealing negligee saying goodbye to Bill as he leaves for work.  The last thing he tells her as he leaves is ‘Don’t Drive the Car’.  There is a quick black out and then Hillary, still in her negligee, answers the door.  Her friend Tippy enters and says that she needs she needs a ride downtown.  Hillary initially says no but Tippy persuades her. she changes and then the women leave the house.  Another quick black out and the two women return.  Hillary has suffered some type of injury and she calls Bill to tell him what has happened.  Unfortunately, the sound is poor so it is hard to understand what is being said.  After the call Hillary tells Tippy that Bill spanks her and she is expecting another one when he gets home.  The two women talk for a moment and Tippy offers to tell Bill that it was her fault but Hillary says no and Tippy leaves.  This introduction takes about 7-1/2 minutes.

Another black out and Hillary enters the living room carrying a bag of spanking implements that she spreads out on the floor.  She goes through them and hides a hair brush under a sofa cushion then she changes her panties.  She puts most of the implements back in the bag but she leaves two canes and a strap on the sofa.  Then she sits and waits on the sofa until Bill returns home.

Bills returns just after the 10-minute mark of the movie and, of course, he is furious.  He looks at the spanking implements on the sofa and immediately says that there is something missing but he doesn’t let that stop him.  He sits down on the sofa to start Hillary’s spanking and he feels the hair brush under the cushion.  He takes Hillary over his knee and begins a hand spanking.  He doesn’t get far before there is a knock on the door.  He sends Hillary to answer the door and Tippy enters.  She tells Bill that the accident was her fault but he isn’t having any of that.  Tippy offers to take the punishment in place of Hillary but Bill finally decides to that Tippy should watch the beginning of Hillary’s punishment then she can decide if she wants to take part of it.  This decision comes at about the 15-1/2 minute mark of the movie.

Hillary goes back over Bill’s knee and her hand spanking continues.  Her panties come down part way through her spanking which lasts for about  3 minutes.  Bill then calls for Tippy.  There is a bit of conversation which is hard to hear but then she takes her place over his knee.  He starts her spanking and her panties soon come down.  Tippy’s spanking seems to be longer and harder than Hillary’s but eventually it is interrupted by another knock on the door (at the 24-1/2 minute mark).

The new arrival is Tippy’s niece Claire.  She enters the living room and immediately sees Tippy who is still over Bill’s knee with her panties down.  Claire tells Bill that her Uncle (Tippy’s husband) has sent her over to watch what is happening.  She sits down and Bill continues Tippy’s hand spanking.  After another dozen or so more smacks Bill tells Tippy to stand up and he takes Hillary back over his knee for a further hand spanking but he soon moves on to the hair brush.  After six swats of the hair brush Hillary and Tippy switch places again and Tippy receives four.  Bill picks up the strap and then has Tippy bend over with her hands on the sofa.  Tippy receives about thirty swaps of the strap then she trades places with Hillary pnce again.  Hillary also receives about 30 swats of the strap and then Bill sends Claire home.

Bill has the two women stand facing the wall with their panties down and he has Hillary tell Tippy what is going to happen next; they are both going to be caned.  He decides that Tippy will be caned first so he has her lie on the sofa with two pillows under her hips.  Tippy receives 15 firm strokes of the cane and then its Hillary’s turn.  She receives 25 strokes that seem harder than Tippy’s and she is certainly more expressive during the course of her caning.  He gives her a break after the first dozen and then the second half of the caning includes three flurries of several quick strokes that obviously have an effect.  Finally, Tippy is sent home and there is a little final dialogue between Bill and Hillary.

I don’t think this movie is as good as the first part but it is still well worth watching.  Hillary is definitely the reason for watching both movies; she is very expressive through her punishments and she becomes increasingly disheveled as the punishments progress.  By the end she actually looks as though she has been punished, unlike many other spanking movie actresses.  Tippy is adequate but not spectacular but I don’t really understand why Claire is even in this movie.  She only has a couple of lines when she arrives and, aside from that, she is largely irrelevant.  There are technical problems in part 3 but not as many as in Part 1.  Poor sound is the major problem but lights and microphones are visible in a couple of scenes.
