Husband Returns

‘Husband Returns’ is a 29-minute movie made by Cavern Spanking.  I haven’t been able to establish a date for this movie but it was made in the early to mid-nineties, probably 1993-95.  It appeared on Moonglow North Compendium One (N03) which was released in 1997 under the title ‘The Husband’.  To the best of my knowledge, it was never released by CalStar and I don’t believe that is currently available on any VOD or clip for sale site however it was posted on the spanking-board.com ‘vintage video’ thread on Feb. 7, 2021 (http://spanking-board.com/index.php?topic=9431.6060).

‘Husband Returns’ is similar to several other early Cavern movies in that it has a simple set and a small cast, only one man and one woman, neither of whom I recognize.  The premise is also simple.  A husband returns home from a trip, with a stuffed animal as a gift, to find his wife sitting in the living room in a French maids’ uniform with marks on her backside.  He demands to know what has happened.  The audio is unclear for a moment but she didn’t have the money to pay someone (I couldn’t understand who) so he gave her a good spanking’.  Her husband had given her money to pay the bill before he left but she spent it on clothes and he is fed up.  He threatens to leave but she begs him not to and offers to let him spank her.

He immediately takes her over his knee for a hand spanking that lasts nearly 5 minutes.  It’s quite routine and it’s filmed entirely from behind.  Next, she’s kneeling on the couch and the hand spanking continues for another 3 minutes.  Afterward, he has her stand with her hands on her head while he goes upstairs to get his collection of spanking implements.  He returns with a slipper, a cane and a riding crop, which, if you believe the dialogue, she didn’t know that he had.  She chooses the slipper first but he decides on the riding crop and he has her kneel on the couch again. 

Nothing is seen of the first few strokes of the riding crop except the side of her head but eventually the camera pulls back and nearly two minutes of the riding crop follows.  She moves to straddle the arm of a chair and he pulls her panties down.  Then it’s on to the sole of a slipper (I’ve seen this in other movies and thought it was a paddle) for about 3 minutes.  Next is a plastic ruler, then more hand spanking, and back to the slipper and the crop.  Finally, with about 5 minutes remaining, it’s time for the cane.  After a few false starts he decides that she should bend over the back of the chair.  A bit more flailing about with the cane follows before he finally begins to give her 14 strokes, in groups of three separated by much rubbing and waving the cane around to stretch out the scene.  The movie ends with him rubbing cream on her behind.

‘Husband Returns’ is much like many other early Cavern movies.  Low budget, slow and not terribly interesting; there just isn’t enough worth seeing to make a good half hour movie.  Cavern would definitely get better with time.
