It has been some time since I last posted anything here but I’ve been working away from home and the opportunity to post simply hasn’t presented itself.  I had hoped that I might return home and find that a wealth of new material had appeared while I was away but no such miracle has occurred but one interesting thing did occur while I was away.

I was working in the Middle East but I had to fly to London for a week of meeting in early December.  I took the opportunity to check out a few websites while I was there and one I looked at was “Bring out the GIMP’s” which is a site that was originally devoted to ZFX movies.  I’m not particularly interested in those movies but the site covers a lot of other material and I often find things of interest posted there.  One of the postings I read in London was a very good review of the Diseno Media “Spanking Machine” series.  I’ve seen several installments from this series and I had been thinking of reviewing some of them but there are only a few things I would add to the review posted by “Thomas Chaser” on December 8, 2012 so I would suggest you take a look at his review at http://books.dreambook.com/zfxetc/main.html.

Now that you’ve read Mr. Chaser’s review let me add a few points of my own.  I was sceptical about the concept when I first read about it but it turns out that I like it and several installments in this series have become favorites of mine.  I’m in complete agreement with Mr. Chaser’s comments on the buildup to the actual punishment and this is what I like most about the series.   For me, the highpoint or each installment is watching the victim as she watches the machine is being tested.   I do wish that the ‘victim’ spent a little more time undressing before her punishment.  It sometimes seems as though the victim’s wardrobe was chosen to ensure that it could be removed as quickly as possible and I wish that a little more time was allocated to this portion of the preparations.  I would like to see an episode that started with a woman dressed in business or evening clothes.

Mr. Chaser’s review is based on the installment called ‘Celine2’.   Two of the installments with ‘Pandora’ also stand out in my memory.  This model doesn’t share many of Celine’s attributes but she does speak English.  I suspect that she is British based on what little dialogue there is but the fantasy for me becomes an 'American woman arrested in a foreign country'.  Regina is another memorable model since her reaction when the machine delivers its first blow is unforgettable.

I do have to repeat one complaint about Diseno productions and that relates to company owner and actor Peter Schober who is often gets ‘hands on’ with the victim just before the punishment begins.  I don’t know why but his actions sometimes make me very uncomfortable.  Fortunately he doesn’t do this as frequently in the Spanking Machine series as he does in some other Diseno Media productions.

The Flogging of Lady Constance

The Flogging of Lady Constance (1990)

As has been the case with the other Sophie Fennington movies that I have reviewed recently, I’m not sure which company produced "The Flogging of Lady Constance" or when it was made.  However, I suspect it was produced about 1990 and it is currently available from Classic Spanking, California Star and through several ‘video on demand’ websites.  The movie runs about 30 minutes.

Lady Constance’s uncle has died and has left his entire estate to her but there is a condition.  Her uncle was a believer in the value of corporal punishment and he was not satisfied with his niece’s upbringing so his will contains a condition that she must be disciplined to his standards before she can inherit.  This is scenario that has been used in many other movies – the Shadow Lane movie “Heirs to Misfortune” that I reviewed earlier this year comes to mind – and it is a scenario that usually works for me.

The movie opens with Lady Constance and Basil Harcourt, her uncle’s solicitor, walking around the grounds of her deceased uncle’s home.  After their walk, Mr Harcourt tells Lady Constance about the condition on her inheritance under her uncle's will.  He leaves her to review the will and, after some thought she tells Mr Harcourt that she has decided to comply with her uncle’s wishes.  Following the instructions left by the deceased uncle, Mr Harcourt orders Lady Constance to lift her dress and bend forward.  He begins with a hand spanking that lasts almost two minutes.  Next, he orders her to remove her dress and begins lean on a piano so he continues her punishment with a tawse.  After nearly 5 minutes he orders her to undress completely and he continues with the tawse and later the riding crop.  Her punishment concludes with her kneeling on the floor and bent over a stool for a lengthy caning.  Sophie Fennington was known for her ability to endure severe punishment and this movie is no exception.

I generally liked this movie despite the period and a few minor technical flaws.  This movie is set in the late Victorian or Edwardian era.  In an interview she gave near the end of her career, Sophie Fennington said that she liked the clothing of this era but I’m afraid I disagree; the movie is at its best for me once she is out of the period clothing which I don’t find attractive.  I suspect that this movie was originally recorded on video tape and later digitized.  It appears that there may have been some loss of video quality as the tape aged but the loss isn’t too severe.  There sound quality and lighting are not always the best there are a couple of abrupt edits but the technical quality is reasonable for a movie of this age.

I’ve seen three of Sophie Fennington’s movies (Lisa Must be Caned, the Flogging of Lady Constance and the Caning of Flight Officer Fennington) so far and I’ve liked all three.  Unfortunately, Ms Fennington’s movie career was rather short but I am trying to locate copies of some of her other movies.
