I love British spanking movies of the eighties and nineties and I've spent the last few years delving into their history. I started this blog to share my interest and what I've learned about it.

Can you help me find a movie? I have been able to finding a few of the Kane I've been searching for with the help of two readers but there are still several others that I'm trying to find. These include Take Three Girls, The French Maid (aka The French Maid's Flogging), Stripe Me Pink, Housewives Choice and The Real Business. Please leave a comment if you know where I might be able to find any of these.

Dawn at the Office

UPDATE (April 2023):  A reader has informed me that this movie was distributed under the title 'Strictly Business' in the UK.  I have that title on my list of SfP movies but I don't know anything else about it.

Dawn at the Office’ is a 1995 CalStar release of a British spanking movie that might have originally been called ‘Painful Solutions for Painful Problems!’.  The version I have is 25 minutes long but it is possible that some material is missing.  No movie called ‘Dawn at the Office’ is currently available on any of the CalStar Direct video-on-demand site like www.hotmovies.com but ‘Dawn at the Office’ is listed on the CalStar website www.spankmodels.com (below).  I do know that two clips, called Dawn at the Office Part 1 (8 minutes) and Part 2 (7 minutes) were included on the English Punishment Series compilation tapes #4 and #5 respectively that were originally released on VJS tapes in 1997.

I first heard about ‘Dawn at the Office’ in a review on the old Consumer’s Spanking and Video Reviews site (http://spreview.net/archive/reviews/dawnintheofficept2.html) almost 15 years ago and it is one that I have been searching for ever since.  I knew that there were clips available on two CalStar compilation tapes but I had never been able to find a copy of the complete movie until recently.  The movie is set in an office and it has a cast of three, a female Manager who I haven’t been able to identify (according to www.spankmodels.com she also appears in the Spanking for Pleasure movie ‘College Classics 9’ and another movie called ‘Late Night Maid’ that I have never seen); Miss Baxter, a staff member played by Barbie Mel and a receptionist named Anne played by Stephanie who also appears in several Cavern and Red Stripe movies.

Unfortunately, I don’t think the copy I found is the original because there is one obvious error.  At the beginning of the copy I found, the manager walks up to the receptionist Anne and says ‘I have just punished Miss Baxter because I can not find the Nintendo papers’ but Miss Baxter’s punishment doesn’t occur until the second part of the copy of the movie that I found.  I think someone h
as reassembled the movie from two separate files but they put them in the wrong order.  I am going to describe the movie in what I believe is the correct order.

I believe the movie should begin with the manager entering Miss Baxter’s office looking for a document.  Miss Baxter isn’t there so she starts digging through papers looking for the document but she can’t find it.  She calls the receptionist to ask if she knows where they are but she doesn’t so the manager asks the receptionist to find Miss Baxter.   Miss Baxter arrives and starts searching for the document but she can’t find them either.  The Manager is furious (and screaming to be heard over the sound of a train in the background).   The Manager drags Miss Baxter around to the front of her desk and bends her over it but, before anything can happen, the scene cuts away to an exterior shot of the building.  I can’t help thinking that something is missing here because, when the scene returns to the office, Miss Baxter’s pink skirt is nowhere in sight and she is bent over her desk with her panties around her knees.  The Manager leaves Miss Baxter bent over her desk and returns a moment later with a leather strap.

The Manager proceeds to administer 50 strokes with the strap, while another train passes bay, then she sends Miss Baxter off to search he desk again for the missing document.  The Manager counts down from 10 and when Miss Baxter still hasn’t found the document by zero she sends Miss Baxter off to get the cane.  It’s nearby so she quickly retrieves it then she is back over her desk for fifty strokes of the cane.  The strokes begin at moderate intensity and become harder as the caning proceeds, and another train goes by just as the caning approaches it’s end.  The manager tells Miss Baxter to find the documents and she leaves with the cane.

As I noted before, the Manager walks up to the receptionist Anne and says ‘I have just punished Miss Baxter because I can not find the Nintendo papers’.  Anne shows a sudden look of realization and she pulls out the missing papers that are on her desk and says ‘I’ve got them right here (she had previously said that she didn’t know where they were when the Manager called her from Miss Baxter’s office).  The Manager flies into a tantrum and she of course decides that punishment is required.  She pulls Anne around to the front of her desk and bends her over.  She unzips her skirt and pulls both her skirt and panties down then she begins to give her a hand spanking.  The hand spanking proceeds slowly (while yet more trains pass by) accompanied by some inane conversation.  Eventually the Manager decides that a hand spanking isn’t sufficient and she goes off to get ‘another implement’ and she returns with a small leather spanking strap.  After administering a couple of slaps she decides that more changes are needed and she has Anne remove her jacket, bra and panties.  A few more slaps of the strap, and another train (they sound like subway trains that are running above ground), follow.  Finally, the Manager decides that the strap just isn’t good enough and she’s off to get the cane.   Twenty-five hard strokes of the cane follow including one that lands on Anne’s thighs.  The Manager finally leaves saying that she wants to see Anne in her office in 5 minutes and we are left to imagine why.  The scene ends with a card reading ‘The End’ which supports me belief that the scenes are out of order.

This isn’t a great movie but there is enough here to make it worth watching.  The technical work is good although the trains can be annoying.  The movie was obviously filmed in a real office but the areas aren’t really large enough to allow for good camera positions.  I’m glad I finally found this movie but I have to admit that I was hoping for a little more than there is here.
