I love British spanking movies of the eighties and nineties and I've spent the last few years delving into their history. I started this blog to share my interest and what I've learned about it.

Can you help me find a movie? I have been able to finding a few of the Kane I've been searching for with the help of two readers but there are still several others that I'm trying to find. These include Take Three Girls, The French Maid (aka The French Maid's Flogging), Stripe Me Pink, Housewives Choice and The Real Business. Please leave a comment if you know where I might be able to find any of these.

The Wicked Kane Club

‘The Wicked Kane Club’ is a 73-minute long Moonglow/Top Marks co-production from 2006.  It is number C38 in the Moonglow DVD catalogue and TM-31 in the Top Marks catalogue.  The DVD is currently available from www.belrose.eu and the movie is also available on video on demand sites like www.hotmovies.com.

‘The Wicked Kane Club’ features Tom Cooper as Peter along with three women identified as CJ (with the dark hair), Sharon and Michele.  According to the Moonglow Girl’s Directory, this is CJ’s first appearance in a Moonglow movie; her 6 later appearances include ‘Approved School’, ‘Wynter’s Tale’ and ‘Corporal Canes’ along with several clips.  Sharon is only listed as having appeared in this movie and ‘Caught and Caned’ but that's not correct, Sara Benachour played her role in 'Caught and Caned'.  Michele is described as “having a short-lived career around 2006”; she only appeared in one other Moonglow movie (‘From Mind to Bottom’) but she also appeared in a number of clips one of which was included in ‘More Punishment Files’.

In my post on “Caught and Caned’ a few weeks ago I mentioned that I had read reports that ‘The Wicked Kane Club’ was a sequel of “Caught and Caned’.  I usually try to record the source of information like that on the filmography spreadsheet I use but I sometimes forget and this was one of those times.  However, reading the descriptions of the two movies in the Moonglow DVD catalogue certainly seemed consistent with the information as you can see below:

C35: Caught and Caned Peter Caruthers and his mistress, Angela King, are off to dinner. She likes to go out with a hot glowing bottom; Peter is more than happy to oblige. When they return, Angela catches a thief climbing out of the toilet window. They are shocked to find that the burglar is a girl called Daniela. Given a choice, she opts for a sound caning rather than a visit to the cops. During the caning, it turns out that Angela left the toilet window open. After Daniela is sent off with a striped bottom, it is Angelas turn. Her caning is very different from the glorious spankings that she so loves.

C38: The Wicked Kane Club. Peter is the manager at the Wicked Kane Club. We first meet him when he is punishing Angela, his mistress, because she slapped a club members face. During the punishment, Karl, the clubs backer with his girl friend, Daniela, arrive and goad him to spank Angela harder. Then Cindy, the new waitress, arrives and is shocked at the scene she witnesses. Karl is not impressed, however, and gives Daniela a sound spanking to demonstrate what she will receive if she starts whingeing again. Later, it is discovered that a case of scotch has gone missing and all three girls are summoned back to the office. The interrogation continues with a liberal use of the cane to encourage the girls to admit the truth. It is a long, hard job but the men know it has to be done for the good of the girls. (Joint production with Top Marks / Kane Magazine).

Those descriptions could certainly lead you to believe that there is a relationship between ‘Caught and Caned’ and the ‘The Wicked Kane Club’, particularly since Peter is played by Tom Cooper in both movies and, although she is not credited as appearing in this movie, I think Sarah Benachour does appear as Angela at the beginning of the movie.  But the use of the name Daniela in ‘The Wicked Kane Club’ seems to be just a coincidence as the role is played by different women in the two movies and the two characters don't appear to be related.

I have to admit that I’m not usually a fan of ‘Top Marks’ movies; I find that they lack many of the
George Harrison-Marks (GHM) touches that I liked (although some won’t share that opinion).  After GHM died on June 27, 1997, his daughter Josee Harrison-Marks and Cliff James, a Kane photographer and GHM’s editorial assistant, produced 25 more issues of Kane Magazine.  Josee produced the final twelve issues on her own after James left to pursue other ventures.  Under the terms of GHM’s will, the rights to the movies that he still owned passed to his movie cameraman Peter Fairbrass who ran the official Harrison Marks website until shutting it down in 2008.  But, Josee Harrison-Marks and Cliff James continued to produce Kane International movies until 2002 when they renamed the company Top Marks which continued to operate until 2007.  Top Marks maintained a relationship with Moonglow, Top Mark’s movies were often filmed in the Moonglow studio and they were sold through the Moonglow website.  ‘The Wicked Kane Club’ is one of several Moonglow /Top Marks co-productions made during the final years of both Top Marks and Kane magazine and a photostory on the movie appeared in Kane 100.

The movie opens with the music that I associate with Top Marks productions and that leads into a brief scene with Peter spanking Angela for slapping the face of a client.  She is given a short over the knee hand spanking before he moves on to a small leather paddle.  A bit of defiance earns her a further hand spanking.  This opening scene last 5-1/2 minutes.

Karl and Daniella (played by Sharon in this movie rather than Nicky Montford) arrive and goad Peter into spanking Angela harder while Karl and Daniella neck in the corner.  A new waitress named Cindy (played by CJ) arrives with a bottle of champagne while this is going on and she seems appalled by what is happening.  Karl is indignant that a waitress would dare to speak to him that way and he tells Peter to stop.  Karl decides that Cindy should be spanked and Peter sends Angela downstairs to get the implements.  For some reason that I don’t understand, Karl decides to show Cindy what is coming for her so he takes Daniela across his knee for a spanking.  Peter starts heckling Tom about his spanking technique so Tom tells Peter to continue Daniela’s spanking, with the paddle Peter was using earlier, while he begins spanking Cindy who cries loudly throughout.  A few minutes into these spankings, Karl stops to ask Peter if 12 missing cases of scotch had been found and Peter replies that they haven’t.  Karl sends both Cindy and Daniela downstairs and the scene ends in a blackout just past the 13-minute mark of the movie.

Later, the two men are siting discussing the missing scotch when Angela arrives with the spanking implements.  There is something very strange about this sequence.  We first see Angela carrying the tray of spanking implements up the stairs then we see her upstairs setting the tray of implements in the table and siting down.  But, it’s obviously not the same women; she isn’t even wearing the same dress.  It looks like Sara Benachour on the stairs around the 13:50 mark of the movie but, just a few seconds later, I don’t think it’s her in the upstairs room, unless she stopped at the top of the stairs to change clothes and hairstyle (the two vidcaps shown above are about 5 seconds apart in the movie).  I think that, for some unknown reason, Michele took over the role of Angela in the middle of the filming.  The two women are similar in appearance but their voices seem different.

Karl sends Angela to bring Cindy and Daniela so they can get to the bottom of the missing scotch.  When the three return they deny any knowledge of the scotch so the men start to question them.  They have the women place their chairs in front of the table and bend over them so the spankings can begin.  Karl starts with hand spankings, then it’s the leather paddle.  All of the women continue to deny any knowledge so Peter takes over with a leather strap.  Daniela seems to be able to take a more severe strapping that Cindy can handle so Peter changes over to a serious-looking flogger.  After 15 minutes of this (if you’ve lasted this long) the men have them stand in front of the wall and then they call them over, one-by-one, for more with a larger leather paddle, the flogger and eventually the cane.  I’m not going to describe the rest of it, it just goes on and on much longer than I want to see.  Each of the women take very severe canings and eventually it starts to seem more like sadism than spanking.  I wonder if this was why Sara Benachour dropped out.

Karl eventually sends Angela back to work and the two men continue questioning Cindy and Daniela.  About 15 minutes before the end, Karl gives up on the interrogation and leaves.  Daniela tells Peter that Angela has been two timing him with Karl so Peter goes to find Angela.  When Angela and Peter return, Cindy has disappeared and Angela is now wearing the dress that Sara was wearing at the start of the movie (or maybe this is Sara in a sequence that was filmed earlier).  It also turns out that Karl had the supposedly missing scotch all along.  Peter decides to give both Angela and Daniela another caning.  I have no idea why he is caning Daniela but he does and then the two women return to work.

This movie was a huge disappointment for me.  It started out well but it quickly deteriorated into something I didn’t want to see.  By around the 40-minute mark I’d had enough and I just skimmed through the rest.  I remember that I watched it when it was still relatively new (maybe around 2008 or 9) and I never wanted to watch it again.  I decided to give it another chance now and my opinion hasn’t changed.  I can only wish that Nicky Montford had returned as the burglar from ‘Caught and Caned’ and that this movie had been more of a Feydeau farce with spanking.  That would have been something that I would have liked to watch but that this exercise in brutality just isn't for me.
