I love British spanking movies of the eighties and nineties and I've spent the last few years delving into their history. I started this blog to share my interest and what I've learned about it.

Can you help me find a movie? I have been able to finding a few of the Kane I've been searching for with the help of two readers but there are still several others that I'm trying to find. These include Take Three Girls, The French Maid (aka The French Maid's Flogging), Stripe Me Pink, Housewives Choice and The Real Business. Please leave a comment if you know where I might be able to find any of these.

Mandy Bait (or Mandy Bates)

‘Mandy Bait’ is a 27-minute long movie made about 1984.  According to the information I have been able to find, ‘Mandy Bait’ was the second movie made by George Harrison-Marks (GHM) through ‘Imprint Productions’.  It was eventually distributed by ‘Kane International’ where it was given the catalogue number KI #10 when GHM finally got around to assigning catalogue numbers.  The movie forms the basis for a photostory that appeared in Kane Magazine #29 and it was released in the US by CalStar in 1986 under the name ‘Mandy Bates’ (more about that below) and then again in 2009 in the CalStar Quickies series.  The CalStar Quickie version is currently available from the HotMovies.com video-on-demand website.

The movie opens with Mandy (who doesn’t have a last name in the movie) collecting text books off the desks in a empty classroom and taking them to the teacher’s desk where she finds a copy of Kane Magazine #6 (which would have been published near the end of 1983)  in a desk drawer.  Mandy starts looking through the magazine and she becomes more and more excited as she does.  Soon she begins at attend to the problem and, of course, that is when her teacher, Miss Williams, walks in.  Miss Williams, who is played by Sue Ellis, a frequent performer in Kane movies and live spanking parties, decides to take Mandy to see Mr. Hobbs, the Headmaster. This is the second time Mandy has seen Mr. Hobbs this week and Miss Williams tells him that she thinks a caning is in order.   Mr. Hobbs is reluctant since it has been 5 years since the cane was last used in his school but he agrees. Mandy removes her skirt and Mr. Hobbs pulls down her panties before giving her 6 strokes of the cane with an additional three added for her insolence during the punishment.

After the caning is over, Miss Williams starts to escort Mandy back to the classroom but, before they leave Mr. Hobbs asks Mandy where she got the magazine.  She tells him that she found it in Miss Williams’ drawer so Mr. Hobbs asks Miss Williams to remain behind.   Miss Williams admits that the magazine is hers but claims that it is her business.  Mr. Hobbs disagrees and decides that Miss Williams should be punished for bringing the magazine into the school.  He orders he to remove her dress and her panties and bends her over his desk for a hand spanking.  He sends her back to her classroom and she blows him a kiss before leaving his office.

Miss Williams returns to her classroom, with her dress still off, where she confronts Mandy who is sitting on her desk with her dress still off.  Soon, the two decide to compare their bottoms but, before they do, Miss Williams decides to lock the door.  It isn’t long before both are undressed and Miss Williams is giving Mandy a massage on the desk.  A few playful slaps on each others bottom’s follow and this leads into the beginning of one of GHM's typical girl-on-girl scenes but the movie ends before the scene goes very far.

CalStar changed the name of this movie, as they often do, but the change is rather subtle.  CalStar gives Mandy a last name that she doesn’t have in the movie itself or in the Kane magazine photostory.  GHM’s movies often include elements of his sense of humour and I think the original title is an example of this.  Since the magazine belongs to Miss Williams, it seems strange that she would take Mandy to the Headmaster and that she would propose the cane as a punishment unless, she is setting up Mandy for the final seduction.  In that case, the magazine poorly concealed in her desk drawer would be the bait in a trap set to catch Mandy, so the magazine would be ‘Mandy Bait’.  That seems like a title that would appeal to GHM’s sense of humour but it appears that the people at CalStar didn’t get the joke … nor did I at first.

This movie isn’t a favorite of mine.  The canings and spankings are unremarkable and the pace of the movie is rather slow.  ‘Mandy Bait’ has a number of GHM’s signature features that I usually like but I don’t think this is one of his best movies.  However, I would like to find out what other movies the actress who plays Miss Williams may have made so please leave a comment if you know of any (Update:  It's Sue Ellis and she made several Kane movies including 'The Errant Daughter', 'The Caning Club', 'Six Days a Week', 'Derriere Dynamite (Live)', 'The Beak, The Mistress and the Schoolgirls' and 'Uncle Silas' Bequests'.)
